Homeowners are being warned that some radiators on the UK market are being advertised with exaggerated heating claims, leading to overstated heat outputs that could leave households cold, out of pocket and wasting energy.

As part of its ongoing efforts to uphold legal standards and ensure transparency in product performance and advertising claims across the sector, the Manufacturers' Association of Ra-diators and Convectors (MARC) has issued a reminder that all radiator suppliers, deemed to be manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and resellers, have important legal obligations un-der the Construction Products Regulation 2011.

Government announcement that ‘all radiators placed on the market up to the end of 2022 can use the UKCA mark using existing test reports, even if they were completed in the EU’, labelled as ‘a huge win’ by the Manufacturers Association of Radiators and Convectors, MARC.
